Blinc Amazing Eyes Discovery Collection | Review

Recently I’ve been using (and loving) the Blinc Amazing Eyes Discovery Collection which claims to give you ‘amazing eyes in a blinc’ – what more could a girl ask for?! In all seriousness though, this is a fabulous kit which contains four products: Blinc’s Mascara Amplified, Eyeliner Pencil, Eye Shadow Primer and Eyebrow Mousse.

The Mascara Amplified is a tube mascara, meaning that it creates tubes around your eye lashes, providing them with a lengthened appearance. It’s a waterproof formula that won’t run, smudge, clump or flake. The fact that it doesn’t clump means it provides your lashes with an extremely natural look, I love wearing this for an everyday look as it makes my lashes appear naturally long and fluttery. To remove it, you just need to use lots of warm water and gentle pressure, the tubes will come off in your hands (weird at first but you get used to it!).

The eyeliner pencil is a black kohl liner, it’s long wearing, smudge proof and fade proof. The formula contains antioxidants and vitamins to help firm and condition your skin while you wear it.

The eye shadow primer offers full coverage by concealing and filling existing fine lines, as well as providing your skin with anti aging benefits. This helps my eye shadow to last all day without creasing or smudging.

The Eyebrow Mousse is my favourite product from the kit as it holds like an ordinary brow gel, however it’s tinted which means it has the added benefit of filling in sparse areas with water resistant colour. I use this after I’ve filled in my eyebrows as I do have very sparse patches and let’s face it, I’m a big fan of the strong brow! However if you have naturally thicker brows and would like a product that holds them in place while adding a slight tint, this would also work brilliantly for that purpose.

The kit also comes with a handy booklet, which includes information about each product as well as tips for application. I also like how each product comes in it’s own little metal tube, very snazzy!

Fit Life Tea 28 Day Organic Teatox Review

Recently I’ve been trying out the Fit Life Tea 28 Day Organic Teatox, a detox tea which when consumed twice a day and combined with a healthy diet and exercise claims to encourage fat burning, weight loss and digestive cleansing.

The pyramid bags are extremely pretty and you can see their ingredients inside, these include: organic hibiscus flower, organic elderflower, organic apple, organic rosehips and organic allspice. The tea has a sweet aroma and a fruity flavour, which makes it a hugely enjoyable addition to my daily routine. It also comes in a 14 day package which is still long enough to notice a difference in bloating etc.

The ‘after’ picture above shows me after 3 weeks of drinking the tea twice a day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. I noticed a reduction in bloating within a couple of days of drinking the tea and although I haven’t lost weight (I’m not trying to), I’m pretty sure that if teamed up with a change in diet this tea would certainly help aid in fat loss.

You can also drink the tea cold, which I’ve found lovely and refreshing during the hot summer weather. I use their 24oz BPA Free Plastic Bottle when I’m out and about, it has a straw attached which is really handy for when I’m on the go.

This is a great bonus if you’re looking to implement the tea into your diet as part of a healthy lifestyle change. I personally like to think that my diet is fairly healthy and I like to stay active, so for me the Teatox has been a great addition into my lifestyle and I look forward to trying some of Fit Life Tea’s other blends, I’m particularly interested in trying their Organic Sleepy Tea, that one is next on my list!

Recently I was lucky enough to be sent a few products from Orogold Cosmetics, a high end skincare line that uses 24 karat gold in all of their products. Needless to say, I was over the moon to be given the chance to try them out. I was sent three products including the 24K Oil Control Cleanser, the 24K Oil Control Day Moisturising Cream and the 24K Collagen and Seaweed Mask.

I’ve been using both the cleanser and moisturiser morning and night and have noticed that my skin feels so much more balanced with reduced redness as a result.

The cleanser has a lotion consistency and while it’s the first time I’ve used a cleanser that applies in this way, I found it to be extremely gentle on my skin. I’m aware that a lot of foaming cleansers do in fact contain harsh chemicals, which can lead to dry skin, in turn stimulating the skin to produce even more oil – not what we want! I was very pleased that this cleanser was so gentle, it contains tea tree oil which has antibacterial properties and is great for oil and blemish control.

Also containing tea tree oil as well as vitamins A and E, the 24K Oil Control Day Moisturiser had the same effect on my skin, it is extremely light and absorbs into the face very quickly, however it provides ample moisture - the perfect combination for an oily complexion. If you look at the product up close, you can actually see the flecks of gold within it.

The 24K Collagen & Seaweed Mask is my favourite of the bunch, it is hands down the most amazing face mask I have ever used. It claims to help restore moisture to aging skin and while I’m aware that I, in fact do not have aging skin, skincare specialists do claim that it’s best to start using anti aging products once you hit 25. Well, at the tender age of 26 I don’t see any harm in starting young, prevention is better than cure and all that! The main reason I love this mask is due to how moisturising it is, it really makes my skin feel so soft and supple. Another plus side is that once it has dried on to your face, unlike most face masks, it doesn’t crack! Say what?! Yes, you read correctly. You’re free to have a full conversation and even, wait for it…laugh! Yup, laugh, without ending up with a crumbled clay mess at your feet.

All in all, I’m seriously impressed with all of these products.
